You say they are overselling the risk, but I think you’re drastically underselling it. It would be foolish to beleive that once the technology is perfected (and I do beleive we’re a ways off from that) than those jobs will be gone and gone quickly.

I just don’t think there is any way around that and nothing you’ve written here has really convinced me otherwise. It would silly not to plan for that future. Whether that involves basic income or something else.
