Yeah. I totally relate to this. I’m not a “neat” person. Anxiety and depression are also my constant companions. So when things get really bad, the first thing I do is get my house in order so to speak.
The act of cleaning helps me get my emotions in check. Once I clear things out and get rid of things and put them away it helps lift the cloud of anxiousness and depression that engulf me. If only temporarily.
It’s a cycle — one I haven’t been able to break in my almost 40 years — but it does help. Good article.
