You’re missing the point of what I wrote.

I’m actually gonna clear more than $100 this month which is why I said: “at least.”

Also, I’m not spending all these hours. I write for a living — so I write quickly and when it is all said and done would have only written maybe 50 articles on Medium this month — that’s less than an article a day and really amounts to an hour of my time dedicated to writing, publishing and marketing my Medium articles.

I’ve spent more time on Medium out of enjoying the platform, but I don’t spend a lot of time writing for the platform.

Also, you forget the Medium articles can continue to make you money long after you’ve written them. It’s not passive income by any means, but the work involved changes once you’ve built up a nice portfolio.

I don’t have to negotiate with clients, deal with revisions or hunt down payment or any of the other things that come with maintaining a freelance writing career.

I write what I want and earn money from it. That works for me. This guide is simply to help others navigate Medium to do the same.
