As far as the rest…I don’t know…I wrote somewhere else that Medium is going to have to start to reward the content it wants to see on that site. If they want less “how to make money on Medium” article then they have to go back to not allowing them to be curated.

If they want more news-type content — then they have to change the way the curation system works to make that kind of content more valuable for people to write.

I suspect tho with the influx of writers being paid members they will have a hard time creating policies that curb the writing about writing — writing about Medium content.

Are people really subscribing to Medium to read their shallow takes on everything from Red Meat to Reparations?

If you’re not a confessional style writer can you ever reach the level of some of the “influencer” types?

I mean I don’t want to mine my personal life or sex life for fans. But you can see why people will do that when you look at the type of money some of those types make.
